Hotel Lombardi Florence: Latest Review

We wanted to post this feedback a while back when we'd stayed at hotel Lombardi, Florence (Firenze), Italy in August 2004, but we didn't have time until now. If we have to come back to Florence, Italy and if the rate is still competitive, we will definitely stay at this hotel. The staff is very helpful and the owner is a really nice person. He let us leave our luggages in his office after checking out so that we could go for sight seeing for few more hours, came back, pick up luggages & took the train to Paris. He is a very generous person, locked our luggates safely, and didn't charge anything. His hotel is in good condition, our 3 rooms for 9 people are very cleaned and comfortable, and there is a bathroom in each room. We really enjoyed our stay. We have nothing to complain about except this good feedback. One more thing we also like back then about this website is we didn't have to pre-pay for this hotel advance booking. We paid at check-in time. This hotel is great in only few minutes walking, and around the corner from Firenze Santa Maria Novella (SMN) train station. We are glad that we booked this hotel back then. If we ever come back to Florence, we will consider this hotel first. Travellers from USA
