The best thing about this hotel was location. Right across the street from Metro stop and bank machine. The bed was comfortable and firm. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was that it advertised air-conditoning. Even though it was cool and rainy in Paris the week I was there, the room was still stuffy and warm at night and you could not self-adjust the air-conditioning. This meant sleeping with the windows open which was pretty loud as you are right off a busy street. The rooms look much nicer and more updated in the pictures on the website. I was disappointed upon arrival at the dingy wallpaper, stained bedspread, carpet, and tiny bathroom. The only english TV stations are 2 newschannels. All that said, after the initial disappointment, the hotel was adequate as Paris itself is the main attraction, and as mentioned, the bed was very comfortable and good water pressure in shower, plus having the bathtub at the end of a long day pouding the pavement and walking miles in museums was key! The staff at the front desk were pleasant, the cafe/bar staff were the most obnoxious people I encountered in Paris.
