3 star Hotel du Vieux Saule Paris owes its name to the willow (saule in French) planted after the destruction of the "Donjon du Temple" by Napoleon and where Louis the XVI and Marie-Antoinette were imprisoned during the French Revolution. The willow was still visible when the hotel was originally built in 1830. Hotel du Vieux Saule is located in the area of "Le Marais", one of the most exciting places in the city, right in the heart of Paris. Hotel du Vieux Saule is a lovely hotel that lies in a beautiful area - it offers the ideal location for those who wish to visit and feel the true Paris. Breakfast is served in the original 16th century vaulted breakfast room, embellished with old copper kitchen utensils. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and in-room entertainment includes Canal+ TV with international channels.
N.B.: Hotel du Vieux Saule will be closed from the 17th to 29th January 2011 for renovation work. The renovation will also continue thereafter until the end of March 2011, between 9.00am to 5.00pm to minimise any disruption to the guests.
